Allana Ferguson bio
Allana was a player for Australia in Rugby Sevens in 2013, then consecutive knee injuries forced Allana to stay off the field for some time before she made the transition back to league. Allana was the first woman to make her debut in rugby league against Queensland for New South Wales. Allana can also be found on radio on her CV, and has made regular appearances with the 2GB's top-rated Continuous Call Team. Allana also holds a teaching qualification. Allana Ferguson is the only Australia player to represent Australia in both rugby sevens and rugby league, as well as touch. Jillaroos' star Allana Ferguson was forced to bring an early conclusion to her professional rugby career following a tear to her ACL four times. Ferguson, who is 25 had previously experienced tears in the same ligaments when she was 15, 17 and 20, when she was 17. A fourth tear indicated her time was done. Ferguson, JILLAROOS's playmaker was forced to quit before the end of the season due to a 4th tear to the ACL of her left. Ferguson suffered an injury in November in a practice session. The Courier Mail confirmed the announcement earlier this week. Ferguson has been the female rugby league's face in the past few years.
